  • STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,AIR BAGS

I don't know, is 4:20 in the morning. Oh, is it work? I was sitting in my car and all of a sudden pop and I had ringing in my ear. According to Mazda, connect, I got some weird network. Error the network failure error some kind of engine failure. Error I don't know what happened. But I've been having a lot of network issues. I've had a lot of battery issues with the car. It's been in the shop at carry. Monster a number of times they've never taken care of the issue. I don't know I don't know what to do. I won't even driven

  • STRUCTURE

    1. The system that is failing is the rear tailgate. When it is opened or closed there is a clicking sound as if it is tryng to engage the lock multiple times. While driving this continues with the tailgate closed turning on and off the interior lights in the vehicle and showing on the front console that the tailgate is unlocked and open. the car is availabe for inspection on request. When I asked the dealer about it they stated that this is a known problem and it will cost approximately 800 dollars to fix which I believe is unresonable due to it being a known issue. 2. Since the rear tailgate may not lock properly it could potentially fly open while driving. 3. Yes see #1-Was reported to Kennedy Mazda located in Valparaiso Indiana. 4. Yes see #1 5. No warnings just the constant clicking of the lock mechanism can be heard.

  • STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,LANE DEPARTURE

My infotainment system is brikecked ! I cant turn off my lane assist and its like a battle to keep it in roads that dont have lines and especially when you get stuck in a groove of a road. Its scary! I got put into a grove my car being awd the rest followed and I get out of the grove and lane assist put me back in amd it almost put me all the way into the same gaurdrail I just avoided. My car is im this state due to unaddressed parasitic draw killing multiple batteries all deallt with by mazda service department.

  • AIR BAGS

The contact owns a 2022 Mazda CX-30. The contact stated that while driving and sneezing, going through a green traffic light, another vehicle crashed into the front driver-side door. There was one individual in the vehicle. The driver-side air bag failed to deploy. The driver mentioned the air bag should have deployed based on the impact. No warning lights illuminated or sounds occurred prior to the crash. The vehicle was traveling at approximately 35 MPH. There was no property damage. The contact sustained pain in the left leg, back, and shoulders. The contact received medical treatment and was provided with pain medication. The vehicle was towed to a salvage lot. The dealer was not notified. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate vehicle mileage was 23,000.

  • STEERING,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The infotainment software is bricked. It happened when the battery died after purchasing it. The dealership told me to get a battery should be ok Now the infotainment system doesn't work and lane assist about put me into a guard rail the other day. I have no access to my cars functions and it is crazy scary

  • WHEELS

Rear wheel bearings failed at approximately 30,000 miles and were replaced by Mazda under warrantee. The same rear wheel bearings failed at approximately 72,000 miles and are available for inspection. Dealer has confirmed bad wheel bearings on both occasions. The potential for wheel bearing failure incudes loss of control of the vehicle while in motion. Dealer has bearing available for inspection. The only warning is increasing noise as the bearing wear.

  • ENGINE

At around 26,528 miles my 2022 CX-30 2.5s (not the turbo) developed a "Low Oil Pressure" warning while driving between 55-65mph on 07/06/2025. The car has had regular oil and filter changes about every 5K miles. The last oil and filter change was at 25,259 mileage on 05/25/2025. There aren't any visible oil leaks. I have read that this is a common problem for other Mazda CX-30 years 2021- 2022.

  • ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

On April 15th, 2025, my 2022 Mazda CX-30 experienced a sudden malfunction while I was driving. Despite having the automatic emergency braking system and forward collision warning, the car failed to slow down or alert me before I hit another vehicle during a pile-up. Right after the collision, my dashboard lit up with multiple error messages about the forward collision system, brake system, and sensor malfunctions. I had the car towed to the dealership, where a full diagnostic scan was performed. It revealed multiple hard fault codes, including U0415 (Invalid Data Received from ABS Control Module), which I later found was listed in a recent Mazda recall (23V-487) affecting my exact safety system—but Mazda told me my VIN was not included. The vehicle was inspected by a certified Mazda dealership. Mazda has refused to take full responsibility despite the safety system failing and the car still being under warranty. My safety was put at direct risk because the brake system did not function when it should have, causing a wreck that could have been avoided.

  • SERVICE BRAKES,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

There is a recall that doesn't include my car. In March before my service due date I got several critical notices on the dash) I-Activsense System malfunction, IActivsense advanced safey and driver support system not operating correctly, Have vehicle inspected. 2) Braking System Malfunction, Stop the vehicle in a safe place, 3)Safety and Driver Support Systems Partially Disabled 4) Vehicle Satus Monitor Serious Malfunction (1) Brake System Malfunction, Vehicle Warning Messages 1..IActivsense System Malfunction next service, which was in 4k miles. This with 19,700 miles on the car (bought with less then 5k on it). I pulled off the road and ate and got back in and all lights gone however 3/7, 3/18, 3/21, 3/22 it all came on again but was gone on arrival to dealership. I had brake fluid checked and it was almost empty, unusual and I know if it leaks and gets wet it corrodes discs, and that is the recall and that is what happened. So far no satisfaction from Mazda other than me paying to have it fixed including a complete brake system flush which should NOT be due till about 50k. I know CX 30 was recalled for this issue, they missed mine. Last service invoice In August says brakes are good, all fluids topped off, yet brake fluid was almost empty and corrision is not even front to rear, salt air is the same on both sides of my car. And why and where is the fluid? I had a third party check it before going in for service (he didn't touch because I'm under warranty but is experienced person in business) .. I will upload Aug and April service invoices. iNVOICE AT 15,374 miles states brakes are good and all fluids topped off, SO in 7 months brakes are destroyed fluid is empty at 19,687 miles. What happened if it wasn't recall problem? Warranty? I believe it should have been in recall.

  • EXTERIOR LIGHTING

The driver side front headlight bearing has failed. Noticed after 43K miles driven. This is a known failure due to a manufacturing defect (see technical bulletin issued by Mazda) however they won't cover the repair (~$1700) beyond 36,000 miles or 36 months. This is a manufacturer known safety issue which could impair visibility while driving at night and could result in a very dangerous situation. The only "warning" is a temporary fan noise after the vehicle shuts down. As a known manufacturing defect for the manufacturing years referenced in Mazda's technical bulletin, Mazda should cover replacement of the headlamp unit (the bearing is unable to be replaced in isolation) for at least through the life of the powertrain.

  • UNKNOWN OR OTHER

The temperature sensor is not working correctly. My engine is constantly reading cold and it’s affecting the performance of the car. There are already recalls on the 2020-2021 Mazda CX 30. I have the 2022

  • STEERING,VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

I am writing to report a serious safety issue with my vehicle, which resulted in a crash. While driving, I suddenly heard a loud sound, followed by an unexpected and uncontrollable shift of the steering wheel to the right. At the same time, the car unexpectedly accelerated, causing me to lose control and crash into a parked vehicle. The airbags deployed, and my car was totaled as a result of the collision. There were no obstructions on the road at the time of the incident, and the vehicle veered to the right without any prior warning. The car was purchased recently, with only approximately 3,000 miles on it and had been driven for just two months before this occurred. There were no warning signals or indications of any issues before the incident, and the car was in nearly new condition. This sudden loss of control, especially with such low mileage, strongly suggests that there is a serious mechanical issue, likely with the steering or related systems. I am requesting that Mazda thoroughly investigate this matter, as it clearly poses a significant safety risk. The vehicle has been towed to AAA Insurance for inspection, and I would appreciate your immediate attention to this claim. Please let me know the next steps in the investigation process. Thank you for your prompt attention to this critical safety concern.

  • UNKNOWN OR OTHER

Low oil level message on cluster 1000 mile away from my oil change mileage indicated by the dealer.

  • UNKNOWN OR OTHER

I travelled to Phoenix for a concert and after the concert I was driving back to my hotel room. I was traveling on the freeway and I heard a popping sound like a gunshot was hitting my window. I slowed down and ducked, thankfully no traffic surrounding me, only behind me. No vehicles were in front of me, as it was late at night, only two vehicles behind me and no overpasses. I pulled off the road, and found that my sunroof had exploded. It seems like the glass had blown from the inside shooting outward. It was very scary and thankfully no vehicles or heavy traffic as it would have caused an accident if there was. I’m not sure how anything could have hit the window because there was no traffic and no one in front of me to kick up debris. I did google and see that pressure changes have been causing this to happen to other vehicles and the only thing I can think of is the pressure changes of traveling to a new city which is very hot and driving with my ac on for long period of time possibly caused the sunroof to explode. It is currently awaiting repair at my local Mazda dealership now. The vehicle is just under 2 years old and has no damage. I don’t currently have any invoices because it’s still waiting at my local dealership.

  • STEERING,STRUCTURE

The steering wheel seems to prematurely wear on newer Mazda vehicles including my Mazda CX-30 from 2022. Mazda claims hand sanitizer to be the main culprit but I suspect quality issues and materials to play a factor. Many can be found with wear on the steering wheel even starting with less than 50 thousand miles. Some have received warranty claims while others are denied.
